AWARENESSED WITH THE ENVIRONMENT
RECYCLING
Each year 8 million tons of plastic are thrown to the oceans and 73.000 Km2 of woods are felled for the paper and cardboard industry.
This results in a threat for the natural habitats of a lot of species, pollution and increase of the global warming.
The production of recycled plastic, paper and cardboard implies an important reduction of that negative impact on the environment.
Because of that we feel the responsibility of reducing our mark by recycling residual materials produced in our production area, offices and warehouse.
RENEWABLE ENERGY
We will soon have photovoltaic solar panels in our facilities with the objective of obtaining energy in a more efficient way and fair with the environment, since solar energy is renewable and reduces global warming and the use of fossil fuels.
IN OUR SHOPS
In our shops we promote the reduction of the use of disposable materials by making a 5% discount to those who bring non-disposable containers from home and buy bulk goods. We will also replace plastic bags with paper bags.
FOOD SAVING
CARITAS
Around one third of the food produced globally end up in the trash.
The sweets that we bake that have undesired shape or break in the packaging process are kept. Once a week this pastry is sent to Caritas so that people in need can have it.
‘TOO GOOD TO GO’ APPLICATION
It is a mobile application we collaborate with and thanks to it food is saved from our bakeries every day.
It is difficult to foresee the exactly amount of food that will be sold within a day and using this app is a sustainable option in which you can enjoy fresh and delicious pastry unsold at the end of the day at a reduced price.
How does it work?

2) Find our shops and buy a surprise pack.
3) Pick it up within the stablished hours and enjoy!
HEALTH
‘TRANS’ FATS
There is still no European regulation that prohibits the use of ‘trans’ fats on food, even though last researches reveal that they are detrimental to health (increasing the risk of suffering from cardiovascular, metabolic and brain diseases, cancer and diabetes).
In Lozano our aim is to remove progressively hydrogenated fats, without altering the flavor, texture nor look of our pastry.
SPONSORSHIP AND COLLABORATIONS
We collaborate with the Blood Donation Marathon carried out by Radio Elche Cadena Ser and the Tranfusion Center of Alicante providing food for those who donate blood.
We have collaborated also with associations like ASFEME (Relatives and people with mental diseases association of Elche) and AMACMEC (Association of women affected by breast cancer of Elche and region).
We promote wellness and we collaborated on the provisioning of marathons such as Cross Perleta-Maitino, Cross El Palmar, the Transilicitana, the Half Marathon of Elche…
We have sponsored and collaborated on events and sports clubs like Elche Football Club, Torrellano Handball Club, the Ultimate Frisbee 2019 Alicante, the Spanish Championship of Waterpolo for Children, the VIII Trophy of Competitive Dance Lady of Elche and much more.
